Carved out of the Stollery family’s 1800 acre Black Aberdeen Angus cattle and world class thoroughbred horse farm near Markham Ontario, Canada, Angus Glen has become a true darling of golf in Ontario and in fact all of Canada.
The first time that Angus Glen hosted the Canadian Open, it was played on the South Course in September 2002. This course also hosted the Bank of Montreal Canadian Women’s Open in August of 2001.
Angus Glen successfully and masterfully played host to the Canadian Open for the second time in July of 2007 with Jim Furyk taking home the honor of winning Canada’s National Championship.
The Stollery family is still very much involved in the “Angus Glen Community“ with Gordon Stollery continuing to change the future by providing “excellence while remembering the family roots”.
For anyone wishing to raise the level of their golf game then look no further than the Angus Glen Golf Academy. First class facilities with first class instructors.
We guarantee that the course conditioning will be impeccable, the service outstanding, the food exactly how you like it and the experience nothing short of your expectations. And oh yes, don’t be surprised if Kevin shows up somewhere during your visit to make sure you are having the best time you have ever had at a world class golf facility.
Also new for 2010-2011 is Angus Glen’s inclusion into the Toronto Highlands Golf Trail program which puts several of the GTA’s finest golf courses together for a special golf experience simply not available in other parts of Canada.
