The Starfire Golf Club consists of three nine hole courses culminating in a 27-hole traditional golf layout located in the north central area of Scottsdale, Arizona. The nines are aptly named after one of the giants of the game who many say “started it all” plus 2 true gentlemen of our game !! .

Starfire ( also known as The Scottsdale Golf and Country Club ) gives the ardent golfer a pleasant change from the desert courses that abound in the area. Designed by Arnold Palmer, all three courses have bunkers and water hazards adding to the challenge on 13 of the holes.

Graced with mature eucalyptus, cottonwood and pine trees, the views of the McDowell Mountains from the golf course add to the enjoyment of the game.
This is an older golf course in a mature area of Scottsdale but it has been thoroughly and beautifully renovated to today’s elegance and standards.
Starfire is known for being a traditional, player friendly course that is fun to play while testing the player’s precision and attention. This is a nice way of saying that this extremely well groomed Grande Dame still has a lot of bite !

The generous fairways give an intermediate player ample room to make great shots and score well while demanding accurate shots from the more experienced players. The course can be played in a combination of 18 holes and all are player friendly. As we Canadians say, make sure you bring your “eh” game to Starfire.
